Ceramics Studio Parties

The Yard School of Art Ceramics Studio is a fantastic place for a party! They are fun, educational and can accommodate a wide range of events, from birthday parties to bridal showers. Making pottery is great for any and all occasions!

For children ages 6 and older we offer parties that include hand-building projects and sculpting using air dry clay, kiln fired clay, or colorful Sculpey. Projects and activities can be designed to suit the child’s individual interests. We offer the use of the studio for one and a half hours, with the last half hour for refreshments.
*Pricing: $25 per child up to 15 children; $15 each additional child.
Minimum charge of 8 children.

For children 8 and older, as well as teens and adults we offer wheel–throwing, and glass fusing parties. Each party-goer will receive detailed instruction on how to throw on the wheel by the party’s end. Learn to use the potter’s wheel to create unique cylinder form pottery such as bowls, mugs, and vases. Once the pieces have been made, each party-goer will choose a glaze and the instructor will finish and fire the pots. Or create fun, colorful artwork with kiln-fused glass! This totally safe process allows students to create beautiful and unique functional forms such as plates and bowls, to decorative projects like wall hangings and night lights. Participants will learn the foundations of glass fusing while using their own designs to create lasting treasures. The work will be ready to pick up two weeks after the party takes place.

*Pricing for wheel-throwing and glass fusing parties: $30 per child/teen, up to 15 participants; $15 each additional participant. Minimum charge of 6 participants.

*Pricing for adult parties: $35 per person for use of studio for two hour party. $100 non-refundable deposit required. Minimum charge of 6 participants.
