A Hidden Jewel: MAM’s Family Learning Lab
Tucked away in a cozy corner on MAM’s third floor is the Family Learning Lab. Designed as an interactive space, the lab provides visitors with an opportunity to learn more about the Museum’s exhibitions—currently, Warhol and Cars: American Icons. Through hands-on art activities and creative thinking, visitors are invited to experience and learn about the exhibition from the inside out. Art materials are provided so that Museum visitors may create their own drawing of a Warhol-inspired car or relax in the reading nook with a variety of books.
Children and their parents or caregivers are encouraged to explore the lab and participate in its activities at their own level and pace. It is suited for kids of all ages. In the coming year, the theme of the lab will be changed so that visitors will come back often and have a new experience each time. Just take the elevator to the third floor and enjoy!
Funds for the Learning Lab were provided by our Education Angels: The Vance Wall Foundation, Rose and John Cali, Audrey and Norbert Gaelen, Tracy Higgins and James Leitner, James Johnson, Karen and Larry Mandelbaum, and Judith and William Turner.
