Will Barnet: Recent Works
As painter, printmaker, and teacher, Will Barnet has made uniquely significant contributions to American Art for seven decades. Although Barnet's paintings and works on paper range from the figurative to the abstract, his entire body of work is unified by the artist's devotion to classical principles of order, stability, harmony, and grace. A master of architectonic pictorial organization, Barnet has been a devotee of art history, engaged with the old and modern masters of European art, as well as indigenous Native American cultures.
